Project Brief
This project explored design across multiple devices/platforms, emphasising user experience methods. It focused on creating adaptive and responsive layouts that maintained a consistent message and feel, understanding users and addressing their needs, and navigating the technical and design constraints of responsive design. The project involved conducting comprehensive user experience research with real individuals and developing a health-related website that adapted seamlessly across multiple devices while meeting identified user needs. By involving real users in the research, valuable insights were gained to ensure the website was intuitive and user-friendly. Initially, user research was conducted individually, followed by collaboration with a team of students working on similar topics to share resources and broaden the findings. This project emphasised the importance of process, user understanding, and problem-solving in creating effective, user-centred designs.
About SheRuns
SheRuns is a web app designed specifically for female runners, it focuses on inspiring and empowering women to run. It was prevalent from research into the current market of running apps, that many do not cater to or consider the unique needs of female runners. SheRuns is the missing female-only platform that provides all sorts of features that female runners need. It has been created to fill this void by addressing these needs and creating a more supportive environment for women.

User Research
As part of the research process, real user interviews were carried out. These interviews highlighted the problem areas the interviewees faced, it was important to gain insights into the perspectives of potential users of my app. Collaborating with a group working on similar topics helped me create three detailed user personas. These personas highlighted significant user pain points and guided the design and development of a user-centric web application.
User Personas
These user personas were built on real experiences gathered from the interviews. The first persona was created solely from my interview, while the second and third personas were created from a combination of my peer interviews.
